Hi!  Sorry Ive been gone for sooooo long.  I am still on that journey!  Since my last post my weight has fluctuated.  That colon cleanse really made a difference.  I haven't tried that again but..........I am trying to get back on my exercise routine and eating healthier.

2/6/13 YMCA- 20 min cardio, chest/shoulders 
2/7/13-20 min on treadmill 
2/11/13-30-45 on weights....back, shoulders, squats
2/12/13-20 on treadmill....interval jogging
2/14/13 cardio kick boxing class
2/16/13 walked/jogged in park with kids 1 hour
2/19/13 some treadmill, Zumba class
2/20/3-weights-legs some abs
2/23/13-weights-back, chest, legs, abs bball with kids

3/2/13-2 mile interval on treadmill, thighs

3/11/13 jogged intervals 2 miles
3/16/13-jog walk intervals with lunges in park for hour

The older we get, the harder it is not only to loose weight but to digest all the stuff we have taught ourselves to eat.  So it is a challenge but I am up for it.  Plus I have the incentive of a couple of weddings I have been invited to.

I need to get my routine together.  I love working out!  The weight is coming off though.  There is a little fluctuation, but its moving.  At least the inches are!

Ok so I have been mia when it comes to my daily post.  I can tell you that since we performed the dance, I haven't been exercising as much.  It has maybe dropped down to twice a week.  A few times I went to the Y and did a class.

I realize more and more that exercise is not only important to my physical health, but to my mental health as well.  I would like to get into more detail but that will be the topic for a whole 'nother blog.

I finally went to a Zumba class!  It was fun.  Just like dancing at home but for 90 minutes!  This is totally something my aunt and grandmother need to get in on.

Oh yeah, so:

I think I am losing weight!   On 03/26/12 I also started a parasite cleanse, recommended by my hydrotherapist.    So far it is going well.  Of course they recommend a food list to help maximize the benefits if the cleanse.  It consists mostly of vegetables, organic/free range chicken or eggs, no shellfish, lemons, limes, grannysmith apples, etc..........I have gone shopping and got some of those things.  I even found some brown rice pasta.  I have been trying to be good.  I do good during the day while at work, but its when im off that I get weak.  Like on day one in the evening I ate McDonalds which is something we don't do often but it was late and i knew I wasn't going to cook.  Day two I did a little better except I had some bread and I bought some dark chocolate covered cranberries.  The list did say cranberries.  I also bought some dark chocolate covered mint cremes.  And yesterday I bought some salty hot chips called "Hot Diggety's"  I had been wanting some and couldn't find them.  When I did I bought them and ate them with a grape Arizona.  I won't beat myself up though cause the good thing is that i have been active and eating right for the most part.  Like I have been eating my apples.  I bought some avocadoes and some tomatoes and the limes and lemons.   I am going to give myself a chance to get it together without giving myself a black eye about it!  Anywho, it is day 4 of the cleanse and I missed my third dose last night.  From day 4 on I am to double up, so I am going to try to stay on track.  I will post some pics and list my ending weight on the last day.  My weight as of a couple days ago.  Monday to be exact was 201 lbs.  My goal is to get down to 165/160.

Keeping Track 03/15-03/18

On Thursday I did nothing.

On Friday I had a colon cleanse. The cleanse was great.  I experienced mental clarity immediately and I also felt as if I could breathe deeper.  As a result at first my breathing was kind of rapid cause it felt as if I was truly getting air for the first time.   I also learned more about the 80/20 alkaline way of eating.

On Saturday I had dance practice.  Although I got there late, the time I was present was very effective.

On Sunday I did nothing.

Keeping Track - 03/12-03/14

On Monday I went for a jog walk around 5:45am till about 6:15. It felt good and I felt good
On Tuesday I lifted some weights at the gym - back, shoulders, inner thigh
On Wednesday I had dance rehearsal
Hi Everyone.  It's 2012 and I am still on my quest to loose weight and lead a healthier life.  In the later part of 2011 I purchased a Groupon.  This February I had the opportunity to use that coupon.  I had a chance to visit a local spa that uses colon hydrotherapy as a treatment for many ailments.  I just wanted to get cleansed............from the inside.  I was in a sort of shock the whole time I lay on the table.  The experience wasn't at all what I expected.  I don't mean that in a disappointing way.  I actually learned a lot in both sessions.  I was a great experience overall.  It has helped me to really take some things into consideration.  Namely what I put into my mouth.  It also doesn't hurt that I lost about 5 pounds in 2 days!

I also had a chance to view a documentary called "The Beautiful Truth."  Also eye opening.  I have a lot to consider when it comes to my diet and that of my family.  It won't be easy, but it will definitely be beneficial.
